Supervisor: Warehouse | Road Freight

Job Context

To coordinate and control the quality of the work activities of a team accountable for operational warehouse supply, contributing to managerial decision-making.

Key Performance Areas

• Execute own work and teamwork according to set operating procedures and service level agreements. Execute own work and teamwork in line with governance and compliance processes.

• Monitor and report on own and teams’ transactional activities to provide timely information for decision making.

• Plan, coordinate and deliver own and team activities to ensure that agreed standards and operational objectives are met (daily to 3 months).

• Coordinate and participate in learning interventions to establish a learning and development culture within the team.

• Coordinate and monitor daily work activities within the team environment in order to prevent financial losses.

• Coordinate team activities to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.

• Analyse and consolidate end of shift reports to identify corrective actions.

• Implement daily operational plans.

• Create an engaging, enabling and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition by demonstrating leadership through personal commitment to organisational values.

Qualification required

• Bachelor's or equivalent 3 year degree (NQF Level 7)

Skills and experience required

• Up to 5 years of experience in a similar environment with at least 2 years tactical leadership or specialist experience. SAP experience essential.

• Intermediate organisation and coordination knowledge and / or skill

• Intermediate people management and development knowledge and / or skill

• Intermediate reporting knowledge and / or skill

• Intermediate labour relations procedures knowledge and / or skill

• Intermediate warehouse management knowledge and / or skill
