Detail: Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervise production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures Responsible to meet shift production goals and quality standards Responsible for quality control and sample testing Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce products within specifications Ensure samples are taken to be tested Assist in production as necessary Coordinate production start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers Operate within standard operating procedures. Ensure that workplace safety standards are met and that appropriate safety clothes, shoes, hearing protection are used, etc. Complete shift paper work accurately and timeously Train and coach production line employees continuously according to standard operating procedures Coordinate with other departments to ensure that flow of production is maintained Communicate daily with other shift supervisors and Plant Managers Schedule and conduct shift meetings (Tool box talks) Ensure a clean and safe work area Ensure that a proper handover is done between shift supervisors Other duties as assigned Key Requirements: Matric with 3-5 years' experience in supervisory management in food manufacturing.
