- Level 4: Grade 12 National Senior Certificate and National Cert level 4 Certificate GET Services.
The Appointee should
- At least 5 years' experience in an underground mining / MTS environment.
- Exposure to Mine Planning software.
- Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
- Clear security screening record.
Advantageous Qualifications
- MTS Certification advantageous.
- Production supervisor certification advantageous.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license if applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- To maintain the execution schedule within the work management process.
- Create and monitor the execution schedule in MineRP Work Manager under the guidance of the Mine Overseers.
- Conduct all relevant logistics and office administration.
- Ensure that all shifts start up and close out documents are in order.
- Generate workorders with proper safety instructions or as directed by Mine Overseers.
- Monitor weekly allocation of work per resource.
- Monitor, implement and facilitate effective reconciliation processes under the guidance of others.
- Update mining actuals to inform the execution and planning process.
- Monitor and management of resource availability.
- Support the planning cycle as needed.
- Ensure and maintain a healthy environment, safe operations and practices.
- Report failure or problems with the MineRP system to the relevant people.
- Underground over-inspections, coaching, monitoring and QAQC.
- Report on non-compliance to Plan.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally.
- Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.
- Sourcing, contracting and negotiating with service providers.
- Liaising with the necessary entities on any environmental management related requirements and alignment where applicable.
- Collaborating with external service providers regarding the design and implementation of tools to enhance processes.
- Driving cost saving and cash conservation initiatives.
- Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment.

- Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment
- Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department.
- Participate in regional/local bodies and decision-making forums in the process developing a business relevant external environment, that will result in the longer-term sustainability of the Division
- Approve department's documents.
- Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System.
- Focus on safety and health as well as operational excellence.
- Improve our position on global industry cost curve.
- Provide coaching and on-the-job training to reporting staff.
- Manage performance and development of reporting staff.
- Ensure fair work allocation for team members.
- Inspire team members towards high performance.
