Location: On-site, Cape Town
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Structural General Foreman to oversee structural works on a major construction project in Cape Town.
We’re looking for a strong site leader with extensive experience in Concrete, Formwork and Reinforcement (CFR) who can coordinate teams, manage daily construction activities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with project deadlines.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all structural concrete, formwork and reinforcement activities on site.
- Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and general labour.
- Ensure construction work complies with structural drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate concrete pours, reinforcement placement and formwork operations.
- Monitor productivity, workmanship and progress against the construction programme.
- Liaise with site management, engineers and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment to meet operational requirements.
- Proactively address site challenges while maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements
- At least 10 years’ experience as a Structural General Foreman or in a similar position.
- Extensive practical experience in CFR works.
- Background in large-scale structural construction projects.
- Ability to interpret structural drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, work sequencing and site coordination.
