- RPO Recruitment's client, a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm in Johannesburg is seeking a skilled Structural Draughtsperson to join its team. The ideal candidate will have practical experience producing detailed engineering drawings for structural steelwork, reinforced concrete and civil infrastructure projects.
- This position is suited to someone with a solid engineering background who understands how structures and civil works are designed and constructed. The successful candidate must be able to interpret engineering requirements and produce accurate, construction-ready drawings, rather than simply operate CAD software.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in draughting, structural draughting or a related engineering discipline.
- A sound engineering background and a practical understanding of structural and civil engineering works.
- Demonstrable experience in structural steel detailing and fabrication drawings.
- Experience with reinforced concrete detailing, including reinforcement layouts and rebar bending schedules.
- Exposure to civil engineering drawings and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in relevant design and draughting software, particularly Advance Steel, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical information accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
