The Strategy Graduate will support the development and execution of strategic initiatives across the business. This role provides exposure to business planning, market research, data analysis, project coordination, and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather insights, evaluate opportunities.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather insights, evaluate opportunities, and contribute to initiatives that drive business growth and operational effectiveness.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Support the development and execution of strategic projects and initiatives.

• Conduct market, competitor, and industry research to identify trends and opportunities.

• Gather, analyse, and interpret data to support business decision-making.

• Assist in preparing business cases, presentations, reports, and strategic recommendations.

• Monitor and track the progress of strategic initiatives against agreed objectives and timelines.

• Support stakeholder engagement and coordination across various business units.

• Assist with strategic planning sessions, workshops, and meetings.

• Compile and maintain project documentation, action logs, and status reports.

• Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation activities.

• Collaborate with teams across the organisation to gather information and insights.

• Provide administrative and project coordination support to the Strategy team.

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?

• Business Management/Administration

• Strategy, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Data/Business Analytics, Marketing/Communications or a related field.

• Strong analytical ability, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Good written communication, attention to detail and an interest in strategy and project execution would be particularly valuable.

Proposed Minimum Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the learnership, applicants should

• Be a South African citizen.

• Be unemployed at the commencement of the programme.

• Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years (subject to the applicable INSETA funding requirements).

• Hold a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.

• Have English as a subject at Matric level.

• Be computer literate.

• Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Have an interest in the insurance and financial services industry.

• Be willing to commit to the full duration of the learnership programme.

Experience

• No prior work experience required.

• Internship, volunteer, student leadership, or project-based experience in event coordination or administration will be advantageous.
