STORES / WAREHOUSE CONTROLLER Getting involved in the daily stores’ activities & perform any job to keep the store operating at maximum efficiency and avoid stock-outs. Safeguard & minimize inventory difference – investigate differences to determine origin, correct and avoid occurrence. · Optimize the warehouse MRP & coordination. · Checking of requisitions received from internal staff. · Checks the requisition and Stock Issue register. · Checks and supervise the goods Issue (internal document). · Process Goods Received Note. · Creation of stock codes and new stock applications. · Liase with end customers & technical staff to determine needs & to ensure standards, specifications of the products are correct. · Controlling stock movements, proper identifications and process internal warehouse transfers on SAP. · Ensure stock bins are correctly labelled in an identifiable manner. · Supervise the interim stock counts. · Conduct Stock Take as per Financial Procedures of Company. · Safe keeping of Inventory to avoid stock loss. · Maintain Housekeeping and safe working within the Stores environment. · Initiate and implement inventory new management methods. · Report slow moving and redundant stock. · Conduct period stock take to process enhance controls within stores. · Schedule weekly stores stand-by to cater for operational emergencies. · Compile and submit monthly/ ad hoc reports or other information to the Procurement Manager. REQUIRED EDUCATION: · Grade 12 with Mathematics. · Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing & Supply Management or Logistics. · Related Stores Material handling & controlling qualification is preferred. · Valid driver’s license code 08 · Fork lift operating competencies are advantageous. REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE: · Minimum 3 years of progressive stores and warehouse environment. REQUIRED SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES: · Sound knowledge of Stores procedures and processes. · Basic understanding of quality & process control is required. · Basic Computer competencies and experience is required. · Maintain confidentiality, display good communication skills & ability to work as a team. · Must exhibit the ability to remain focused on priorities amidst frequent interruptions. · Basic principles of inventory control, shipping and receiving. · Must be able to handle multiple tasks & priorities & delegate effectively. · Promote Safe procedures of moving heavy objects, tools, materials and equipment used in construction and maintenance of work, units of weights and measures. · Attention to detail, be able to meet reporting deadlines.
