Based at Airport City in Cape Town, a Storeman/Stock Controller is responsible for managing the inventory and stock of a warehouse or store, ensuring that items are properly stored and readily available when needed. Receive, inspect, and store goods and supplies in an organized manner.
Duties & Responsibilities
Planning and implementing systems
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and stock levels by uploading into ERP.
- Uphold access control to storage area.
- Check deliveries for accuracy and report any discrepancies to management.
- Raise quality complaints using ISO 9001 process.
- Issue materials and supplies to departments or individuals based on requisitions.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of any discrepancies or low stock levels.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment to move heavy items and supplies.
- Keep the warehouse and storage areas clean and organized.
- Ensure bins and spares marked conspicuously.
- Conduct regular stock takes and report on inventory levels to management.
- Follow health and safety regulations and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good
working order.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12
- At least 5 years relevant work experience
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures
Package & Remuneration
R8,000 - R12,000 based on previous experience and skills
