Start free — we apply for you →Job Title: Storeman Start Date: 2026-08-28 - 2026-09-27 Vacancy Type: Permanent CAW000833 Sectors: Logistics, Warehouse & Freight Location: Western Cape , George Salary: (Market related) Brief: STOREMAN - GEORGE To efficiently manage the auto repair center shop's parts and consumables store, ensuring that all parts are correctly received, checked, recorded, stored and issued to the workshop. The Storeman will maintain accurate stock levels, assist with sourcing and collecting parts, and ensure that the workshop has the correct parts available when required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Receive, inspect and check all incoming vehicle parts and consumables against invoices, delivery notes and orders. Check parts for damage, incorrect items or shortages and report discrepancies immediately. Correctly identify and label parts for individual repair jobs/vehicles. Issue parts and consumables to panel beaters, spray painters and technicians as required. Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all stock movements are captured on the computer system. Conduct regular stock counts and assist with monthly/annual stocktakes. Monitor stock levels and advise management when parts or consumables need to be ordered. Assist with sourcing automotive parts from suppliers where required. Collect and deliver parts when necessary. Maintain accurate filing of invoices, delivery notes, purchase orders and stock documentation. Liaise with suppliers regarding outstanding orders, incorrect parts, returns and credits. Process returns and ensure replacement parts are followed up. Keep the stores area clean, secure, organised and properly labelled. Ensure that high-value parts and equipment are appropriately controlled. Assist the workshop with locating parts and resolving stock-related queries. Maintain accurate records using the company's computerised systems. Assist with general administrative duties relating to the stores and workshop. Comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures. Carry out any other reasonable duties related to the position. Detail: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 / Matric preferred. Valid driver's licence – essential . Previous Storeman / Parts Storeman experience. Previous experience in a panel shop, motor dealership, automotive workshop or motor industry environment will be highly advantageous. Good knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle components. Computer literate, with the ability to work confidently on email, Microsoft Office and computerised stock/inventory systems. COMPETENCIES: Good numerical and administrative skills. Good communication skills in English and Afrikaans Ability to work accurately and pay close attention to detail. Good organisational and time-management skills. Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
