The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective stock management, accurate stock transactions, correct storage and identification of materials, and maintaining an efficient and disciplined stores team. The role requires a strong people manager with sound stock control knowledge and experience working with MRP/ERP systems. Detail: Minimum requirements: Previous experience in a Stores Supervisor, Stores Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or similar supervisory role. Proven experience managing and supervising a team. Previous experience managing stock and stock transactions. Experience working with an MRP/ERP system. Computer literate with good Microsoft Office skills. Manufacturing, fabrication, engineering or a similar technical environment would be highly advantageous. Strong stock control and inventory management experience. Excellent organisational and administrative skills. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal and people management skills. Ability to maintain discipline and enforce company procedures. Ability to work under pressure and meet operational requirements. Valid Code 8 driver's licence. Duties will be, but are not limited to: Supervise and manage the Stores team, including Stores Clerks and Forklift Driver. Manage the day-to-day operations of the stores department. Manage stock and all related stock transactions. Maintain correct stock levels and ensure stock accuracy. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of information captured on the MRP/ERP system. Ensure the correct receiving, issuing, identification, binning and storage of materials. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct stock counts and reconciliations as required. Coordinate the transfer and shipping of materials. Maintain good housekeeping and an organised stores environment. Build and maintain a strong, functional and disciplined team. Manage employee performance and ensure adherence to company procedures and standards. Identify and highlight operational and stock-related risks to management. Implement and improve relevant stores procedures and processes. Enforce company policies, procedures, standards and rules. Develop and maintain appropriate performance measures for the stores department. Assist operationally when required, particularly during busy periods or when additional support is needed.
