The store prides itself on providing a seamless, welcoming, and complete shopping experience for the local community. Detail: Description: We are seeking an active, detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our grocery retail team. In this role, you will be responsible for product placement, visual merchandising, stock rotation, and shelf presentation across assigned store sections or retail routes. You will ensure products are attractively displayed, correctly priced, fully stocked, and aligned with brand standards to maximize sales and elevate the customer shopping experience. Responsibilities: Shelf Packing & Display Maintenance: Ensure all shelves, display units, and promotional ends are properly merchandised, visually appealing, and fully stocked. Stock Rotation & Quality Control: Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) standards, monitor expiry dates, rotate stock, and remove damaged or expired goods. Pricing & POS Collateral: Check and update shelf price labels, promotional talkers, banners, and point-of-sale materials for accuracy. Stock Monitoring & Replenishment: Assist with checking backroom inventory levels, identifying out-of-stock items, and coordinating replenishment. Route & Travel Execution: Travel promptly between assigned locations, suppliers, or store routes as required by operational schedules. Reporting & Compliance: Report stock shortages, damaged items, or merchandising issues to the store manager or supervisor. Requirements: Licensing: Valid motorbike driver's licence (essential / non-negotiable). Education: Grade 12 / Matric Certificate. Experience: Previous retail, supermarket, or merchandising experience is advantageous. Physical Capability: Physically fit and comfortable with lifting, packing, bending, and standing for extended periods. Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and basic communication skills. Availability: Willingness to work flexible retail hours, including weekends, shifts, and public holidays where required.
