Responsible for inventory accuracy, stock availability and stock optimization
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock records across branches and warehouses
- Process and monitor stock and branch transfers
- Investigate stock variances, descrepancies and unusual stock movements
- Coordinate cycle counts and assist with full stock counts
- Monitor excess, slow moving, aged, obsolete and stocked-out items
- Recommend stock re-distribution based on branch demand and availability
- Assist Procurement with replenishment priorities
- Ensure stock transfers are correctly dispatched, recieved and posted
- Maintain proper supporting documents and paper trails
- Prepare weekly and monthly stock control reports
- Liaise with procurement, finance, warehouse, sales, workshop and branch teams
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12
- Qualification in Inventory, supply chain management, logistics, procurement or finance
- 3 to 5 years inventory management, stock control experience within a mult-branch wholesale, industrial, engineering or distribution environment
- Strong working experience on SAP or similar ERP system and MS Excel
- Experience in stock transfers, stock counts, stock adjustments, inventory reconciliations
- Strong understanding of internal controls and audits
Package & Remuneration
- R12 000 to R18 000 per Month Basic salary - depend on experience and qualifications
