Stock Controller / Receiving & Mailroom Clerk

Job Description

• Core is looking for a reliable and organised Stock Controller / Receiving & Mailroom Clerk who enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

• You'll play an important role in making sure stock, parcels, courier deliveries, internal mail and marketing materials get to the right place, at the right time, with accurate records to back everything up.

What you'll be responsible for

• Receiving, checking and recording incoming stock and deliveries

• Maintaining accurate stock and inventory records

• Conducting stock counts and assisting with reconciliations

• Receiving and distributing parcels, mail and internal documentation

• Preparing parcels and stock for dispatch

• Coordinating courier collections and deliveries

• Preparing waybills and maintaining courier records

• Tracking deliveries and resolving delivery queries

• Picking, packing and distributing marketing materials to iStore branches

• Maintaining accurate receiving, stock, mailroom and dispatch records

• Keeping the receiving and mailroom areas organised, clean and secure

What you'll need

• Grade 12 / Matric (Minimum requirement)

• 1–2 years' experience in stock control, receiving, dispatch, warehousing, logistics, mailroom operations or a similar environment

• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook

• Strong attention to detail

• Good numerical and administrative skills

• Strong organisation and time management

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities

• Ability to lift and move stock and parcels when required

• Willingness to work additional hours when operational requirements demand it

• Be reliable and dependable

• Experience with inventory, stock-control, courier or dispatch systems will be an advantage.
