- To perform various managerial, administrative and technical tasks associated with the provision of specialized technical, basic and advance training programs to personnel as well as fire education and life safety training to the public. Furthermore, perform command and control management functions as the Fire Department Safety Officer.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST
- Grade 12
- SAESI Diploma in Fire Service Technology or IFE diploma in Fire Engineering Science; or and equivalent higher service-related qualifications NQF Level 6
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
- Valid Level 3 First Aid qualifications
- Fire Service Instructor 1 NFPA 1041
EXPERIENCE
- 7 years continuous service in a recognised Fire Service environment .
