- To perform various managerial, administrative and technical tasks associated with emergency service delivery, fire safety, training and fire station maintenance of 3 shifts to ensure the delivery of effective emergency services to save lives and property of the community as far as possible.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST
- Grade 12
- A National Diploma in Fire Technology or equivalent qualification NQF level 6
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
- Level 3 first aid/BAA
- Hazmat operations
- Knowledge of the Building Regulations Act
- Knowledge in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Knowledge of the relevant SANS codes
- Knowledge of the Events Management Regulations Act
- Knowledge of all Public Safety Regulations
- Training and presentation skills
- Management and supervision skills
- Code C driver's license
- Good human relations, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to give attention to detail
- Fluent in at least 2 of the official languages of the Western Cape
EXPERIENCE
- 7 years relevant experience whereby 3 must be on a supervisory level
