- Senior certificate/ Grade 12 or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Staff Nurse. Registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nurse. Candidate must have basic communication, computer and writing skills.
Duties
- Facilitate Training and Mentoring of CHWs. Supervise the CHWs. Allocate and coordinate work of the team. Community engagement: Liaise with the ward councilors and other community structures with regards to community entry. Conduct or support community interventions/campaigns. Community mapping: Allocation of the CHWs per ward based.
- Facilitate and strengthen upward and downward referral. Administration, Reporting and record keeping. Provide basic clinical nursing care in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards.
- Demonstrate basic communication with patients, supervisors and colleagues. Maintain professional growth /ethical standards and self- development. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support the managers to ensure quality nursing care.
