Requirements

  • A relevant three-year tertiary qualification, preferably a B Degree
  • Eight 8 years or more relevant experience of which three 3 years must be at supervisory level
  • High level of Computer literacy
  • No Criminal Record

Key Performance Areas

  • Oversee the management and governance of the academic life cycle of the student from application to graduation within the College to ensure the institutional strategic goals are implemented.
  • Manage and oversee the Learner Management System LMS ensuring the compliance with relevant Education and Training Quality Assurance ETQA and regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing student registration processes and academic records to ensure the efficient and accurate management thereof as well as compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Implement and oversee Occupational Health and Safety compliance within the College.
  • Ensuring business continuity by analysing Public Safety Training College processes, identifies gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee the Human Resource Management and administration functions within the office of the Registrar, ensuring alignment and compliance with the College process plans, City HR strategy, plan, policies and procedures.
  • Direct and control outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of admin personnel within the Section.
  • Monitoring, reporting and mitigating all risks associated with the Public Safety Training College.
  • Manages the records management component within the College ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and the City's Records Management Policy.
  • Ensure sound stakeholder relations with SAPS, RMTC, SAQA, NQF, other Metro Police Department, Service Providers and Institutions of Higher learning.
  • Managing the general administration functionality, performing specific activities with providing support to line functions, in order to ensure support is made available to enable accomplishment of service delivery objectives and standards.
  • Manage training and skills development and the transfer of skills and knowledge.
