Duties & Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field
- Relevant database or SQL certifications advantageous
- A strong academic background will be beneficial
Requirements
- Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Familiarity with relational database management systems
- Exposure to database management tools and SQL client applications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn from experienced developers and database professionals
- Experience with SSRS and Power BI advantageous
Key Performance Areas
- Assist with the development, maintenance, and optimization of databases
- Write, test, and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and management
- Support the design and implementation of database schemas, tables, and indexes
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases with applications
- Monitor and improve database performance
- Assist in maintaining data integrity, validation, and cleansing processes
- Perform routine database maintenance, backups, restores, and data migrations
- Support database security initiatives and compliance requirements
- Document database processes, configurations, and best practices
- Develop and maintain reports using SSRS
- Build and support Power BI models and reporting solutions
- Stay current with database technologies and industry best practices
