- The primary objective of this role is to promote campus community, vibrant social activities and sports at the campus level to encourage a balanced lifestyle amongst the student body.
- This position requires an energetic extroverted personality and uniquely blends hands-on event execution, proactive student relationship-building, and creative visual storytelling to maximize both physical participation and digital engagement across all campus platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Photograph and film key campus milestones, including Open Days, scheduled student excursions, and daily campus life activities for both our Salt River and Tygervalley campuses.
- Create and design all necessary digital and physical promotional materials, event posters, invitations, and stationery.
- Script, film, and edit engaging "How-to" videos to help students navigate campus systems.
- Partner directly with national marketing teams and external creative agencies to supply requested video assets and local footage.
- Update physical campus posters on the walls, create fresh visual displays, and physically maintain noticeboards to ensure the campus remains professional and completely clutter-free.
- Coordinate a busy campus calendar featuring both large-scale events like Orientation Week and smaller recurring activations like Student Fun Fridays.
- Coordinate closely with the Student Representative Committee SRC, help market their initiatives, and co-organize student-led events.
- Handle all preparation logistics, including buying necessary supplies, managing RSVPs, setting up venues, and coordinating on-site first aid and security rosters.
- Physically assemble event spaces, which includes heavy lifting of tables, chairs, banners, and sound equipment.
- Plan, promote, and run community outreaches, charity donation drives, and volunteer initiatives.
- Monitor equipment conditions, manage inventory logs, report broken gear, and establish and enforce safety rules for gym users.
- Interact with students daily on campus to foster positive, trusting, and supportive peer-to-peer relationships.
- Manage official student communication groups and chats, ensuring announcements are broadcast multiple times and remain exceptionally clear, clean, and detailed.
- Resolve ongoing student queries and conduct student surveys to gather actionable feedback on campus life.
- Organize resume and CV creation workshops, offering constructive, practical feedback to help students prepare for the workforce.
- Create networking opportunities between students and potential employers to assist with work placements.
- Maintain flexibility to work selected weekends to assist with campus events like Registration Days and Open Days.

Requirements
- Own car and valid driver's license
- Qualification NQF level 6 in Marketing, PR, Sport, Events or related field
- 2 years in a similar role
- Event management experience
- First Aid knowledge
