A leading organisation within the financial services sector is seeking an experienced Specialist Developer to join its Business Intelligence team. This role is suited to a highly skilled development professional who enjoys designing, developing, and enhancing robust software solutions while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and technical teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and architecture to development, testing, deployment, and support. In addition to developing new functionality, you will be responsible for optimising existing applications, improving system performance, and providing technical expertise across multiple projects. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working on complex development initiatives that deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using .NET technologies.

• Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions.

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Architect and develop high-performance applications and integrations.

• Maintain and enhance existing systems to improve performance and reliability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues.

• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and technical documentation.

• Apply best practices in software development and database administration.

• Provide application support and technical expertise when required.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.

• 5 to 8 years of software development experience.

• Strong experience developing applications using .NET Core and .NET Framework.

• 5 to 8 years of Microsoft SQL Server development experience.

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications.

• Proven ability to work on multiple projects and deliver within agreed timelines.

• Experience working with third-party service providers and development teams.

• C#.NET development.

• .NET Core and .NET Framework.

• Microsoft SQL Server.

• Stored procedures, triggers, and indexing strategies.

• Software architecture and solution design.

• Application integration and troubleshooting.

• Database development and optimisation.

• Full software development lifecycle practices.
