Auto Service Electrician – Multifranchise Northcliff
- An auto service electrician diagnoses, repairs, and installs electrical wiring, computer systems, and electronic components in motor vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose Faults: Use digital diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and oscilloscopes to find electrical issues.
- Repair and Replace: Fix or swap out faulty wiring, alternators, starters, and lighting systems.
- Install Equipment: Set up new electrical systems, alarms, audio systems, and auxiliary accessories.
- Read Schematics: Follow technical blueprints and wiring diagrams to trace circuits.
- Consult Customers: Explain required repairs, estimate labour and parts costs, and review invoices
Job Requirements
- Education: Grade 12
- Certifications: Trade certificate
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of vehicular computer networks, sensors, and low- or high-voltage circuits.
- Tools Knowledge: Proficient with diagnostic software and hand tools.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex, hidden electrical short circuits or battery drains
