Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our Special Events Department. We are looking for a talented individual with the relevant skills and experience for the Special Events Driver role, based in Nelspruit . The successful candidate will report directly to the Special Events Coordinator.
Driving, operating and maintaining roadshow and delivery trucks. Playing different music genres with understanding of market suitability & Stock deliveries and collections. Assist with the execution of events branding and equipment activations according to best practices. Fulfil roles and responsibilities according to planned daily schedules, Customer service, and excellent representation of CCBSA within the public domain.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outcomes
- Event Transportation & Logistics
- Transport event stock, branding materials, equipment, trailers, coolers, gazebos, and promotional assets safely and efficiently to and from event locations in accordance with operational schedules and delivery requirements.
- Fleet & Vehicle Management
- Ensure company vehicles, trailers, and transport equipment are maintained in roadworthy condition through daily inspections, cleanliness checks, maintenance reporting, and adherence to fleet management procedures.
- Event Setup & Breakdown Support
- Support operational teams with event setup, branding placement, stock loading/offloading, event breakdown, and asset recovery to ensure smooth and timely event execution.
- Stock & Asset Handling
- Safeguard and account for all event stock, assets, promotional materials, and equipment during transportation and operational activities to minimise losses and damage.
- Safety, SHEQ & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with road safety regulations, SHEQ requirements, PPE standards, vehicle operating procedures, and company governance requirements during all transportation and event activities.
- Route Planning & Operational Efficiency
- Plan transport routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries, cost efficiency, and operational readiness for scheduled events and activations.
- Customer & Stakeholder Support
- Provide professional support to customers, venue teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders during deliveries, event setup, and operational activities.
- Team Collaboration & Operational Support
- Work collaboratively with Coordinators, Assistants, warehouse teams, and event crews to support efficient event execution and operational excellence.
- Incident Reporting & Risk Management
- Report vehicle incidents, damages, operational risks, or compliance issues promptly and assist in implementing corrective actions to maintain operational standards.
- Continuous Improvement & Operational Discipline
- Support initiatives aimed at improving transport efficiency, fleet utilisation, operational readiness, and execution discipline within the Special Events function.
Skills, Experience & Education
Education
- Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
- Valid Code 14 Driver's License with PDP (Essential)
Experience
- 2-4 years driving, logistics, fleet, or FMCG operational support experience
- Experience transporting event equipment, stock, or promotional materials advantageous
- Exposure to customer-facing or event operational environments preferred
