Software Test Analyst - 4 Month Contract

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform static testing of documentation for accuracy.

• Identify and extract test requirements from business requirements.

• Specification of test data requirements.

• Test case development, estimation, and maintenance.

• Peer review test cases and test documentation.

• Perform dynamic testing against system(s) under test.

• Defect logging, retest, and change request entry.

• Knowledge transfer to the client and team members.

• Liaison with developers & business analysts.

• Management of individual progress against the plan.

• Confirmation of test environment readiness.

• Verify and revise quality assurance standards as needed.

• Analyze complex situations and recommend solutions to the client.

• Recommend areas for process improvement.

• Treasury and Investment Operations

• Banking and Insurance (advantageous)

• Regulatory and compliance controls

• Reconciliations and financial reporting

Core QA Skills

• Requirements analysis and gap identification

• Test scenario and test case design

• Functional, integration, and regression testing

• Defect management and root cause analysis

• Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) management

• UAT planning and support

• Risk-based testing

• Test reporting and metrics

Technical Skills

• Azure DevOps or Jira

• SQL and data validation

• API testing (Postman)

• Testing evidence management

• Basic automation exposure (advantageous)

• Experience testing integrations and batch processing

Soft Skills

• Strong stakeholder engagement

• Ability to work closely with SMEs

• Analytical and investigative mindset

• Effective communication and reporting

• Ability to challenge requirements constructively

• Strong attention to detail

Nice-to-Have

• ISTQB Certification

• Exposure to Test Automation

• Experience establishing QA processes in a maturing QA environment
