Software Engineer

Hire Resolve's client is seeking an experienced Software E n gineer with solid Python skills to help power the technol ogy behind a growing fintech and direct se lling organization. You will work across internal systems and customer - facing tools, enabling over 50 000 Sales Force members to thri ve as entrepreneurs while supporting the build out of a new fintech business. T h is position is based in Johannesburg, offers a competitive salary, and provides the opportunity to make a mean ingful difference in the lives of many.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable Python backend solutions for fintech and ERP applications. • Contribute to the entire application development lifecycle, from concept to deployment. • Provide technical input and collaborate effectively with team members. • Build, maintain, and integrate REST APIs and chatbot features . • Write clean, well-documented, and testable code. • Customize and optimize our Odoo ERP system . • Extend our tech stack to support mobile apps, internal tools, and field operations. • Work within an Agile team to deliver high-quality code in short development cycles. • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain version control using Git . • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope and deliver technical features aligned with business needs. • Rapidly upskill in Odoo and other essential business tools. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system and performance issues. • Support teammates with technical challenges and foster continuous improvement. • Approach problems logically with a structured mindset. Minimum Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience as a Python developer .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fully proficient in English.
• Experience with cloud architecture .
• Proficiency in at least one Python web framework (e.g., Django, Flask).
• Experience with an ORM library .
• Knowledge of front-end technologies , including JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with TDD , CI/CD implementation , and DevOps automation .
• Experience with Secure Coding (OWASP) practices.
• Proficiency in Linux , Nginx , and PostgreSQL .
• Applied knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodologies .
