The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining software applications and services. They work in agile teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions that meet business and user needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable applications and services.
- Develop REST/GraphQL APIs and reusable integrations.
- Write clean, modular, testable code.
- Implement unit, integration, and UI test frameworks.
- Instrument services with logs, metrics, and traces.
- Design event‑driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
- Work in squads, refine technical stories, deliver iteratively.
- Participate in incident response and resolution.
- Drive best practices, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- 3–5+ years’ experience in software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, React, Python, or Java.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks (JUnit, Jest, Selenium, Cypress).
- Experience with event streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience in telecommunication, financial services or insurance will be advantageous.
