• Degree in Computer Science or similar information technology related degree • 7+ years IT experience • 3+ years in a leadership role • Experience in Software Development environments • SQL Service database experience • IT Governance , Cybersecurity and Project Management experience • Experience with managing third-party service providers • Advantageous certificates: ITIL Foundation, COBIT Foundation, PMP/Prince2, ISO 27001, CISA, Microsoft Certificates Technical skills required:
• SQL Service • Database Design & Administration • Systems Analysis • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) • Source Control (Grit) • Change Management • API Integrations • Microsoft Service Environments • Cybersecurity Principles Advantageous skills:
• VB.Net • C# • Microsoft Azure • PowerBI • Power Platform • LIMS Platforms • Laboratory Information Systems • Environmental Monitoring Systems Responsibilities:
Strategic leadership role responsible for
• IT Governance & Compliance • Digital Transformation & Strategy • ALICE/ LIMS Implementation • Software Development Oversight • Cybersecurity Management • Database & Data Governance • Vendor & Service Provider Management • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity • Technical Quality Assurance • Developer Backup & Continuity IT Governance & Compliance
• Development IT governance framework and policies • Manage IT audits and track findings • Manage IT risk register • Ensure POPIA and information security compliance • Maintain IT asset, software & license registers • Report to Executive Management Digital Transformation & Strategy
• Develop digitalization roadmap • Identify automation and optimization opportunities • Lead digital initiatives across the business • Evaluate new technologies • Align technology with business strateg ALICE/ LIMS Implementation
• Lead ALICE and Future LIMS implementations • Manage data migration, integration and UAT • Coordinate vendors & Project timelines • Ensure user adoption and deployment • Manage future system enhancements Software Development Governance
