Duties & Responsibilities

Shape the future of a critical banking channel We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager: Cash Devices to lead the teams responsible for our cash-device technology platforms, terminal applications, integrations and operational delivery capability. This is a strategic technical leadership role for someone with strong ATM and transaction-processing expertise who can provide technology direction, manage key vendor and platform relationships, ensure the stability, availability and security of critical banking systems, and develop high-performing teams. The successful candidate will drive delivery excellence, operational resilience, continuous improvement and people development across a critical customer channel.

Desired Experience & Qualification

What you'll do • Lead multiple ATM technology delivery teams responsible for ATM applications and services • Drive solution design, architecture governance, engineering standards and delivery quality • Ensure system availability, performance, resilience and security across a critical banking channel • Oversee software development, enhancements, maintenance and production support • Lead major incident management, root cause analysis and recovery activities • Build high-performing technical delivery teams through coaching and mentoring • Manage vendor relationships, technical roadmaps and delivery outcomes • Partner with product, technology and business stakeholders to deliver strategic objectives • Translate the strategic product roadmap into executable delivery plans, release forecasts, milestones and team-level priorities across the cash-devices technology portfolio • Lead agile planning - decomposing features into delivery-ready epics and user stories, managing dependencies, capacity, sprint and release planning, and tracking delivery • Drive engineering best practices: secure coding, code reviews, CI/CD and production readiness What we're looking for • 8+ years of direct ATM domain experience • Proven experience in ATM delivery, support and operational environments • Strong technical delivery leadership in banking or financial services • Proven ability to build high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, succession planning and career growth • Experience leading agile delivery teams - translating roadmaps into delivery plans, decomposing features into epics and user stories, forecasting, managing dependencies and tracking execution • Experience managing critical production systems and high-availability platforms Production resilience & security: Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis, Problem Management, Disaster Recovery, Performance Analysis, Production Monitoring, ATM Security Principles, Encryption, PCI DSS and PCI Pin. Technology Engineering & Integration • Programming and scripting languages • API Integrations • Enterprise Integration Patterns • Architecture Governance • Secure Coding Practices • CI/CD Principles • Technical Design and Code Reviews Critical technical expertise ATM Technologies • ATM transaction lifecycle • ATM application architecture • Device integrations • ATM deployment and estate management • Production support and device availability • NCR SelfServ and Diebold Nixdorf preferred; GRG, Hyosung or other enterprise estates will also be considered Postilion (Essential) • Postilion ATM Switching • Terminal Drivers • ATM Application Integration • ISO8583 Messaging • Routing and Transaction Flows • Transaction Debugging • Postilion Configuration Postilion ATM App and/or Postilion SDK Development experience is highly advantageous. Delivery & Planning Leadership Advantageous experience Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Information Technology (Computer Science) Preferred: Honours Degree in Commerce or Information Technology (Computer Science)
