Role Overview
Were looking for a confident, creative content creator to produce entertaining short-form videos for an exciting new South African digital platform.
This is not a traditional social media management role. Your main responsibility will be creating videos that make people stop scrolling, laugh, comment, share and want to learn more about the platform.
You do not need thousands of followers. We care more about your personality, creativity and ability to create engaging content.
What Youll Do
* Develop creative concepts for TikTok and Instagram Reels. * Create engaging vertical videos of approximately 1560 seconds. * Appear on camera as one of the recurring faces of the brand. * Create direct-to-camera videos, skits, street-style content, storytelling videos and trend-based content. * Write strong hooks, short scripts, captions and calls to action. * Film and edit your own content. * Add captions, music, sound effects and other relevant editing elements. * Research trending topics, sounds and video formats. * Suggest fresh ideas instead of waiting for detailed scripts. * Make reasonable revisions when required.

You may be a good fit if you
* Are confident, expressive and comfortable on camera. * Have a fun, natural and relatable personality. * Understand South African humour, culture and online conversations. * Know how to capture attention within the first three seconds. * Regularly follow TikTok and Instagram trends. * Can turn a simple idea into an entertaining video. * Can film clear, good-quality content using your own smartphone or camera. * Can edit short videos using CapCut or similar software. * Communicate professionally and meet agreed deadlines. * Are comfortable receiving feedback and revising content.
Previous professional content-creation experience is helpful but not essential. A strong portfolio, natural camera presence and creative ideas are more important.

This is a freelance, paid-per-video opportunity, not a permanent position.
The selected creator may be commissioned to produce multiple videos each month. The amount of work will depend on our content requirements and the quality and consistency of the videos delivered.
The content may be published on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and other digital platforms. Some videos may also be used for paid advertising.
