- Recent supervisory experience in a grocery supermarket or similar retail environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Customer-service focused and professional.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
- Must be comfortable with stock control and working with merchandisers.
Duties & responsibilities will include
- Ensure that the store is clean, organised and customer-friendly.
- Oversee the general day-to-day running and presentation of the store.
- Manage and monitor stock levels.
- Receive and check deliveries.
- Ensure shelves are replenished timeously and correctly.
- Keep accurate records of stock and report shortages or excess stock.
- Work closely with merchandisers.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
- Ensure customers receive a positive shopping experience.
- Build and maintain good relationships with regular customers.
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Ensure products are stored and displayed according to relevant regulations.
- Monitor security and assist with loss prevention.
