- Operate a skip truck safely and efficiently to transport and collect skip bins.
- Deliver and collect skip bins at customer sites according to schedule.
- Ensure skips are positioned correctly and safely at collection and delivery points.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Complete delivery notes, logbooks, and other required documentation accurately.
- Adhere to all road traffic regulations and company safety procedures.
- Secure loads and ensure bins are safely transported.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and site personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle.
- Perform basic vehicle checks, including fuel, oil, tyres, and water levels.
- Report accidents, incidents, or damages immediately.
- Assist with route planning to ensure timely collections and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with waste management and environmental regulations where applicable.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Valid Code 14 driver's licence with a valid PDP.
- Experience operating skip trucks or heavy vehicles.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors when required.
- Clean criminal record and sober habits.
