The ideal candidate will hold a Millwright qualification (or equivalent proven experience) and demonstrate strong technical expertise, troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence. This role is critical in ensuring reliable equipment performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement in productivity. Detail: Key Responsibilities Equipment Support & Maintenance Perform scheduled services, breakdown repairs, and fault finding EDS equipment. Troubleshoot and rectify issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automation systems. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to address recurring failures and implement sustainable solutions. Support automation implementation and ensure alignment with site requirements. Customer & Team Engagement Build strong, lasting relationships with customers through professional service delivery. Coach mine employees and staff on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and repair. Promote aftermarket services and products to support business growth. Liaise with Product Company engineers to support product development and testing. Operational Excellence Participate in productivity and efficiency improvement projects. Ensure safe storage, handling, and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment. Support spare parts inquiries, on-site stocking, and inventory management. Work collaboratively within the team to meet customer requirements and deadlines. Reporting & Communication Submit comprehensive daily site reports and weekly machine performance reports. Report safety issues promptly to the company and customer personnel. Communicate formally via email and respond timeously to customer inquiries. Qualifications Millwright trade qualification preferred (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics). Alternatively, proven technical experience in mining equipment maintenance and support. Grade 12 with N4/N5/N6 Technical Qualification or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Experience Requirements Strong technical knowledge of Surface Rotary Blasthole Drills. Advanced RCS troubleshooting skills. Experience with Trimble High Precision GPS systems. Proven expertise in automation implementation (advantageous). Proficient in troubleshooting across all drill systems. Computer literate with MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently under pressure and to company standards. Willingness to travel, work standby, and adapt to operational demands. show more...
