- Supervise and lead Train Drivers, Shunters and Artisans.
- Manage shift rosters and ensure adequate staffing.
- Ensure compliance with production schedules and client requirements.
- Plan and oversee maintenance and breakdown activities.
- Maintain required site documentation, risk assessments and method statements.
- Conduct Planned Task Observations (PTOs).
- Ensure full Health & Safety compliance.
- Provide regular operational updates to management and the client.
- Maintain a strong, professional relationship with the client.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Qualified Train Driver with 35 years driving experience.
- 3 to 5 years experience in the locomotive/rail industry.
- 2 to 3 years supervisory experience.
- Good computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
