- Minimum Grade 12
- Relevant Red Seal
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a plant maintenance, repair and installation of equipment environment of which preferably 2 years' experience in a Supervisory role
- Experience in fault finding and repair on mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
Duties and Responsibilities not limited to
- Lead a team and take responsibility for work to be done on sites
- Supervise and coordinate all mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on site
- Ensure work is completed according to engineering drawings, specifications, and project standards
- Identify and resolve technical and operational issues
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental HSE requirements and safe working practices
- Plan and allocate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to achieve project objectives
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets required standards
- Must have a broad knowledge of Conveyor Belts, Gearboxes, Fluid drives, Bearings, Pumps, and Screens
- Perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
