Job Description

iqx the Technology Division of iqbusiness is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer SRE to join their growing technology team based in Sandton .
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional who is passionate about building reliable, scalable, and high-performing systems while working in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
This role is initially offered on a 6-month contract , with the possibility of converting to a permanent position based on performance and business requirements.

Skills and Experience required

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform GCP .
Strong programming and scripting skills using Python, Java, or Go .
Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes .
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
Strong understanding of software development principles, IT operations, and infrastructure management.
Experience working within cloud-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement automation solutions for system management and application monitoring.
Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure reliable and seamless software releases.
Design, maintain, and optimize scalable infrastructure environments.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues.
Create and maintain operational documentation, processes, and runbooks.
