Job Title: Site Manager Start Date: 2026-09-01 - 2026-09-04 Vacancy Type: Permanent SSC001252 Sectors: Engineering & Technical Location: Gauteng , JHB - Eastern Suburbs Salary: (Market related) Brief: In this role, you will lead all site execution activities for medium to large mining, hoisting, and industrial projects. You will be accountable for ensuring that project objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contractual, technical, quality, and statutory requirements Detail: QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPIERIENCE: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate. Trade Tested Artisan qualification, preferably Electrician. Minimum 4–6 years of experience in a Site Manager, Construction Manager, Site Supervisor, or similar project execution role within mining, industrial, or construction environments. Proven experience managing site installation activities, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and general computer-based project administration. Ability to develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, cable schedules, installation progress reports, and productivity tracking tools. Experience developing, maintaining, and managing installation check sheets, punch lists, quality control documentation, and site records. Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and technical drawings, with a sound understanding of applicable South African regulations and standards, including SANS standards, the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Electrical Installation Regulations, Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA), and site specific engineering and safety requirements. Competent in inspecting and signing off electrical installations and equipment upon completion to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Experience conducting and facilitating risk assessments, developing method statements, implementing safe work procedures, and ensuring compliance with site safety requirements. Strong understanding of electrical installation, testing, commissioning, fault finding, and quality assurance processes. Demonstrated ability to manage site resources, coordinate contractors and suppliers, resolve technical and construction-related issues, and maintain project milestones. Ability to accurately report site progress, identify project risks, and communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, customers, and subcontractors. Strong leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to motivate teams and maintain a positive site culture.
