Salary: R20,000 – R30,000 Gross per month
A well-established Property Development Company based in Johannesburg South is seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Foreman / Site Manager to oversee residential construction projects from commencement through to completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who has strong knowledge of residential building, concrete structures, brickwork, wet works and high-end finishes , and who is confident managing subcontractors, labour and the day-to-day running of a busy construction site.
Duties & Responsibilities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years' experience within the construction industry, ideally covering both residential and commercial projects.
- Minimum Grade 12 / N4 / Matric .
- Proven experience in a Site Foreman, Site Manager or similar supervisory position .
- Valid driver's licence.
- Own reliable transport .
- Mobile phone.
- Strong, verifiable references with proven construction industry experience are essential.
- Experience working on high-end residential developments will be highly advantageous.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate must have strong practical construction knowledge, including:
- Ability to read, interpret and work from building plans .
- Strong setting-out skills .
- Solid understanding of concrete structures, wet works, brickwork and finishing stages .
- Experience overseeing construction from concrete structures through to final finishes.
- Proven experience with high-end residential finishes , including kitchens, bathrooms, ceilings, bulkheads and general finishing works.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and site coordination.
- Experience managing and supervising labour, subcontractors and various trades .
- Ability to ensure that company rules, regulations and disciplinary procedures are followed.
- Ensuring compliance with OHS requirements and site safety standards .
- Ensuring all company, building and construction standards are maintained.
- Effective resource management , ensuring tools, plant, equipment and materials are available and ready when required.
- Maintaining and updating site registers, timesheets and relevant site documentation .
- Planning work ahead and ensuring that construction activities remain aligned with project schedules.
- Monitoring progress and identifying potential delays or issues before they impact the programme.
- Providing regular updates to clients, management and relevant stakeholders regarding project progress and timelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running and management of the construction site .
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site labour.
- Plan and allocate daily and weekly work activities.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure construction is completed to the required quality standards.
- Ensure projects remain on programme and that deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinate materials, equipment and resources required on site.
- Monitor the quality of concrete, brickwork, wet works and finishing stages.
- Ensure all work complies with approved plans, specifications and building standards.
- Maintain a safe and well-organised construction site.
- Manage client expectations and communicate project requirements effectively.
- Identify construction challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Provide management with accurate progress updates and highlight potential delays or concerns.
- Ensure site documentation, registers and timesheets are kept up to date.
Package & Remuneration
WHAT'S ON OFFER
- R20,000 – R30,000 Gross per month , depending on experience and suitability.
- Full-time, permanent position.

We are looking for a hands-on Site Foreman / Site Manager who understands every stage of the construction process and can confidently take responsibility for the successful running of residential development sites.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-end residential construction , with particular strength in setting out, concrete structures, brickwork, wet works and detailed finishing.
You will need to be someone who takes ownership, plans ahead, maintains high standards and gets things done , while communicating effectively with clients, management, subcontractors and site teams.
