- RPO Recruitment's client, a leading building contractor in Cape Town is seeking Site Engineers at various experience levels to join its construction teams across a range of building projects.
- These opportunities are suitable for motivated engineering professionals who have a solid understanding of building site operations and are looking to develop their careers within an established construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of building works.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour and materials on site.
- Conduct site inspections and assist with quality control.
- Monitor construction progress and report on potential delays or technical issues.
- Maintain accurate site records and relevant project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with Site Agents, Contracts Managers and other project team members to achieve project milestones.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a relevant discipline.
- 3–10 years' experience working on building construction projects.
- Sound understanding of construction methods, site procedures and technical documentation.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with site management, subcontractors and consultants.
