Site Engineer - Civils

Our client is seeking two experienced Civil Technicians to join their team on site in Cape Town. This opportunity is ideal for technically skilled professionals with a relevant civil engineering qualification and 3–5 years of industry experience. Successful candidates will assist with site operations, technical inspections, construction quality, and the delivery of civil engineering projects.

Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma or BTech (Civil, Building, or Construction)
• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Practical experience working on construction sites.
• Ability to interpret civil engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Good understanding of construction methods, quality control, and site safety requirements.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with site teams, contractors, and project management personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the supervision and coordination of civil engineering activities on site.
• Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and assist with quality assurance and quality control.
• Interpret technical drawings and identify potential construction issues.
• Record site measurements, progress updates, and relevant technical information.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Assist in resolving technical challenges and ensuring work is completed to the required standards.
• Promote compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
