Shunters

Introduction

A well-established company based in Atlas, Boksburg is currently looking to employ experienced Shunters to join their logistics team. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely moving and positioning trucks within the yard, ensuring trailers are available for loading and offloading, and maintaining a safe and efficient flow of vehicles

Duties & Responsibilities

• Move trucks between loading bays and designated yard areas.

• Position trailers safely for loading and offloading.

• Conduct daily vehicle and trailer inspections.

• Report defects and damages immediately.

• Ensure all trailers are correctly parked and secured.

• Follow Clover's safety procedures and site rules.

• Work closely with warehouse staff, dispatch, and transport controllers.

• Maintain accurate movement records where required.

• Keep the yard neat and organised.

• Comply with all company policies and traffic regulations.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12 (Matric)

• Code 10 valid licence

• Valid PDP

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a Shunter in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment

• Experience moving and positioning truck in a busy yard

• Good understanding of yard safety procedures

• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

• Medically fit

• Clear criminal record

• Reliable transport to and from work
