Job Description

• An industry leader within the short term insurance advisory industry, based in the NORTH WEST PROVINCE is recruiting for an experienced, qualified and skilled Short-Term Insurance Underwriter

Formal education and qualifications as a minimum requirement

• Class of Business in Short-term Personal Lines
• Higher Certificate in Short-term Insurance – NQF 5 minimum 120 credits
• Regulatory Exam for representatives RE5
• Signed off at FSCA
• Matric
• Valid driver's licence, code 8
• Own transport is mandatory

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining business relationships with clients
• Discussing and assessing clients' current and future short-term insurance needs
• Researching insurance policies and products and stay informed with change strategies from service providers
• Negotiating policy terms and costs with insurance providers
• Arranging insurance cover for clients with the insurance provider
• Keeping detailed records on the relevant systems
• Preparing management reports
• Advising clients on claims
• Renewing or amending existing policies for clients
• Undertaking general administrative duties
• Marketing ventures to reach minimum goals
• All new and existing clients must be aware of the complete Financial Service that the Company renders
• Maintain constant portfolio growth through the recruitment of new clients
• Give guidance to Administrators with regard to work procedures
