Shop Assistant (Retail & E-commerce Support) – Northern Suburbs, Cape Town Retail | Full-time | On-site

Join a Fast-Growing Outdoor & Fishing Retail Brand! Our client is a well-known and much-loved fishing and outdoor retailer based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. They are looking for a hands-on and reliable Shop Assistant to support both in-store operations and their growing e-commerce platform.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a retail environment, is comfortable with systems and admin, and is willing to get involved across multiple areas of the business. If you have an interest in retail, stock control, and online sales, this is a great opportunity to grow within a dynamic, lifestyle-driven brand. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store with product queries and purchases

• Operate the POS system for sales, returns, and transactions

• Book stock in and out of the system accurately

• Assist with stock takes and inventory management

• Maintain accurate product information and stock levels

• Load new products onto the online store

• Update product descriptions, pricing, and images on the system

• Monitor online orders and assist with processing and fulfilment

• Support general administrative tasks related to retail and e-commerce operations

• Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked retail environment

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12

• Previous retail or shop assistant experience advantageous

• Comfortable working with POS systems and basic computer applications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with stock and data

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Reliable, hands-on, and willing to assist across different areas of the business
