Start free — we apply for you →Freedom Stationery is looking for an experienced and results-driven Shift Supervisor to join our Manufacturing team at our Cornubia Factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective supervision and coordination of production activities during the assigned shift. The Shift Supervisor will ensure that production targets are achieved in line with operational plans while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, efficiency, and employee performance. The role will play a key part in driving team performance, minimising downtime, controlling waste, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead, supervise, and coordinate employees during the assigned shift. Plan and allocate work according to production schedules, staffing levels, and operational priorities. Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, performance, and conduct. Conduct shift briefings and toolbox talks to communicate targets, expectations, and operational updates. Execute production plans to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. Monitor production workflows and optimise the utilisation of labour, machinery, and materials. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and operational challenges. Drive production efficiency by minimising downtime, waste, and scrap. Monitor material usage and implement measures to improve cost efficiency. Ensure compliance with quality standards, SOPs, and ISO 9001:2015 requirements. Conduct and monitor in-process quality checks and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements. Ensure the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Report and investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses. Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, waste, and labour utilisation. Compile and submit accurate shift reports and ensure effective shift handovers. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, efficiency, and quality. Liaise with Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other relevant departments. Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and waste reduction. Coach and develop team members to improve skills, performance, and overall team capability.
