About the Role
Found, a division of Cartrack, is looking for an experienced and driven SHEQ Manager to lead and continuously improve our Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) function across our corporate offices and mining operations.
This is a strategic leadership role suited to a highly motivated professional with a strong background in SHEQ management, legal compliance, ISO management systems and mining operations. You will play a key role in driving a culture of Zero Harm, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting operational excellence across the business. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company's SHEQ strategy.
- Lead and manage the SHEQ function across multiple sites.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including OHSA, MHSA, COIDA and environmental regulations.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Integrated Management System in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
- Lead internal and external SHEQ audits and ensure successful certification.
- Conduct risk assessments (HIRA) and implement effective risk mitigation measures.
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Oversee emergency preparedness, contractor management and high-risk work activities.
- Monitor SHEQ performance and present reports, KPIs and compliance updates to senior management.
- Build strong relationships with clients, regulators and key stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor and develop the SHEQ team while promoting a proactive safety culture.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Management, Quality Management, Risk Management or a related field.
- SAMTRAC or equivalent safety qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years' SHEQ experience .
- At least 3 years' experience in a SHEQ management role .
- Experience working within both corporate and mining environments .
- Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems.
- Strong knowledge of OHSA, MHSA, COIDA and environmental legislation.
- Experience leading audits, incident investigations and risk management programmes.
- Valid driver's licence.
