ServiceNow technical developer

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Technical Consultant / OHS Solution Developer to join a large-scale Enterprise Health & Safety Transformation Programme. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing digital Workplace Health & Safety (WHS/OHS) solutions using the ServiceNow Workplace Safety / Operational Health and Safety (OHS) module .

The successful candidate will play a key role in digitising and automating workplace inspections, audits, contractor compliance, and safety governance processes. You will work closely with Health & Safety stakeholders, business analysts, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and user-friendly ServiceNow solutions that improve operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for a ServiceNow professional with strong technical expertise and proven experience delivering enterprise OHS solutions aligned with industry standards such as ISO 45001 and occupational health & safety regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, configure, develop, and implement solutions using the ServiceNow Workplace Safety / Operational Health & Safety (OHS) module .

• Lead the digitisation and automation of workplace inspections, audits, and compliance processes.

• Develop configurable digital inspection forms, audit templates, safety checklists, registers, certificates, and appointment letter workflows.

• Build and enhance contractor safety compliance portals enabling contractors to upload safety files, supporting documents, and compliance records for review.

• Design automated workflows for contractor safety file submission, review, approval, rejection, and compliance tracking.

• Configure ServiceNow workflows, Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Catalog Items, and Notifications.

• Develop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to provide visibility into workplace safety performance and compliance status.

• Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise applications, document management systems, identity management solutions, and third-party platforms using REST/SOAP APIs.

• Collaborate with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) specialists to translate regulatory and operational requirements into scalable digital solutions.

• Ensure solutions comply with organisational governance standards, security requirements, and industry best practices.

• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, production deployments, and post-implementation support.

• Participate in solution architecture discussions and recommend best practices for ServiceNow Workplace Safety implementations.

• Produce technical documentation, configuration guides, process documentation, and knowledge transfer material.

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and best practice guidance to junior ServiceNow developers where required.

• Continuously identify opportunities to improve automation, user experience, compliance monitoring, and operational efficiency across Health & Safety processes.

Desired Experience & Qualification

The successful candidate should have 6–10+ years of ServiceNow development experience , including 2–5 years of hands-on experience implementing Workplace Safety / Operational Health & Safety (OHS) solutions
