ServiceNow Developer / Platform Support Specialist (Contract) Sandton/Onsite

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Platform Specialist to join a Group Applications environment and provide hands-on support for ongoing ServiceNow BAU activities .

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing and maintaining a ServiceNow instance, supporting incidents and enhancements, and working with stakeholders to drive platform-related issues through to resolution.

Location: Sandton, Gauteng

Work Arrangement: Fully onsite – 5 days per week

Contract: October – December 2026

Contract Hours: 480 hours

December Closure: Approximately 2–3 weeks during the annual festive-season closure

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day ServiceNow BAU and platform support .

• Maintain and support the ServiceNow platform and its associated modules.

• Investigate, manage and drive resolution of ServiceNow incidents and platform issues .

• Support the delivery and implementation of enhancements to the ServiceNow platform.

• Participate in ServiceNow-related meetings and discussions with relevant stakeholders.

• Coordinate and follow through on platform issues, ensuring appropriate resolution and communication.

• Assist with the ongoing maintenance, configuration and optimisation of the ServiceNow environment.

• Work across multiple ServiceNow modules and support business requirements relating to the platform.

• Contribute to the overall stability, governance and effective operation of the ServiceNow environment.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience working with ServiceNow .

• Proven experience maintaining and managing a ServiceNow instance .

• Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow platform administration and BAU support .

• Experience working across multiple ServiceNow modules, specifically:

• ITSM

• SPM

• HR

• CMS

• Experience managing incidents, enhancements and platform-related issues .

• Demonstrated ability to drive issues through to resolution.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of ServiceNow-related activities.

Important

This is a fully onsite position in Sandton. Candidates must be available to work onsite 5 days per week for the duration of the contract.

Candidates with broader ServiceNow module exposure and strong platform management experience will be advantageous.
