Duties & Responsibilities
- Role purpose: To render an after-sales support service to current and new customers. Roles & Responsibilities : •Increase Parts and Service Sales opportunities in assigned territory to grow revenue, increase parts and service market share for aftersales through maintaining existing customers and target new opportunities including consumables and commodities, service repairs, and undercarriage. •Conduct after-sales visits, conduct routine machine inspections using ConSite Tools during the walk around inspection and present to customers, update ConSite Shot Web on regular basis. •Self-generate Parts and Service quotations from ConSite inspections on company ERP system and present to customers, promote current Parts and Service marketing and sales programs to include all opportunities, negotiate with customers to convert quotes into sales. •Influence customers to use genuine Hitachi parts and service, inform customers of all customer support services (i.e. warranty parameters, daily inspections, service periods and relevant contact numbers). •Provide lost sales feedback and proposed counter measure to relevant stakeholders to develop recovery plan, reporting, data analysis and invoice tracking, maintain DAILY call reports on CRM. •Acquire customer information to build comprehensive database to include machine lists, customer contacts, influencers, and Parts and Service purchasers - all information to reside in company ERP system. •Ensure all Service Bulletins are planned and executed in conjunction with the service department on designated machine allocation. •Carry out machine hand overs in conjunction with sales department and issue warranty certificates, compile report after oil sample feedback check from Wearcheck, generate quote and ensure customers receive feedback. •Develop and maintain partnerships with internal customers (Service, Parts, and Sales)
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Trade Certificate: Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic / Millwright / Auto Electrician.
- Certificate/Diploma: Sales and Marketing (added advantage).
- Minimum: 3-5 Years’ post trade experience at operational level within the Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Industry.
- Field Service (onsite) experience.
- Customer service and sales experience.
- Hitachi product knowledge.
- Extensive knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques and equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word or similar software to prepare reports.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
