PG Glass is looking for customer-focused and hands-on Service Assistants (Rovers) to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, have a passion for customer service and sales, and are eager to develop technical skills within the automotive glass industry. As a Rover, you will provide operational support across various PG Glass Fitment Centres within your allocated region, assisting wherever business needs require. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a positive customer experience.
- Welcome customers and assist with general enquiries.
- Support administrative functions, including filing, documentation, and answering telephone calls.
- Assist with vehicle pre- and post-inspections and completing Vehicle Inspection Certificates (VICs).
- Perform windscreen chip repairs and other technical support activities (training provided).
- Assist technicians with automotive glass fitments and glazing activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional Fitment Centre by carrying out daily cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Ensure reception, customer waiting areas, kitchens, bathrooms, workshops, and offices remain clean and well-maintained.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety standards.
- Support the Fitment Centre team in delivering operational excellence.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- A TVET/FET qualification will be advantageous.
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or a service environment.
- Previous experience in an automotive, technical, workshop, or fitment environment will be advantageous.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- A willingness to learn technical skills such as chip repairs and vehicle inspections.
- Physically fit and comfortable performing manual work.
- Willingness to travel between PG Glass Fitment Centres within the allocated region.
- Willingness to work shifts when required
