A Medical Services company which provides cost effective, quality healthcare products and services to Southern Africa have an opportunity for a Service & Repair Technician (Electrician) at their head office in Tokai/Westlake, Cape Town.
Description
Key Responsibilities
- Handling of feedback, advice regarding technical queries from hospitals and Area Sales Managers via e-mail or telephone/cell phone.
- Working in the workshop and sometimes in the field (hospitals as and when required) daily to install, repair, maintain and service client's medical equipment.
- Updating the database on computer of records of servicing of medical equipment.
- Managing and ordering associated spare parts for the medical equipment.
- Undertake electrical/electronic/mechanical refurbishment of existing medical equipment.
- Equipment fault-finding.
Profile
Candidate Requirements
- N4 - N6 in Electrical Engineering or better.
- Be a Trade Tested Electrician
- Minimum of 10 years' post apprenticeship experience.
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
- No criminal record.
- Good general mechanical knowledge.
- In excellent health.
- Computer literate, professional with sound verbal and written communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
- Reliable, hardworking, and organised (adherence to good housekeeping protocols).
- Stay within the Southern Suburbs area or within a 30km radius of Tokai/Westlake. (Advantageous).
