Senior Web Developer

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced  Senior Web Developer with 10+ years of Front-End development experience and 5+ years as a Senior Developer in enterprise-scale .NET environments. Proven expertise in building secure, high-performance web applications using C#, ASP.NET, Angular, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Strong background in RESTful API development, web security, multi-tier architecture, and Agile delivery, with a track record of successfully delivering multiple production releases annually.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing functionality, while designing and developing new components to support evolving business needs.

• Develop a deep understanding of the current product architecture and business domain, collaborating with business analysts to refine requirements and implement high quality solutions.

• Refactor, optimise, and modernise codebases to ensure long term maintainability, scalability, and adaptability to future requirements.

• Assess and improve application performance, reliability, and high availability capabilities across all environments.

• Create comprehensive unit tests and integrated system tests to validate that new and existing functionality operates as intended. Support testing processes by developing and executing functional test scenarios during development.

• Produce clear and detailed technical documentation outlining system architecture, components, and operational guidelines.

• Conduct in depth root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve defects within complex, integrated systems.

• Build, package, and deploy applications onto application servers or cloud platforms, ensuring smooth and reliable release cycles.

• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to continuous improvement of development standards, practices, and processes.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, alternatively Matric with 8-10+ years of hands-on software development experience in a custom development environment with multiple annual production releases.

• 5+ years' experience as a Senior Web Developer within a multi-tier .NET environment.

• 10+ years' experience in Front-End Development.

• Experience delivering enterprise-grade web applications in Agile and Waterfall environments.

• Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements, use cases, and user stories into intuitive user experiences.

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, processes, and best practices.
