Job Summary

Sagen Advisory Recruitment Company is recruiting on behalf of a leading client for a hands-on, strategic Warehouse Manager. The successful candidate will take full ownership of finished goods inventory across multiple on-site and off-site warehouse facilities. This key operational position is responsible for accurate stockholding, efficient warehouse operations, cost optimisation, budget management, and the seamless execution of local and export customer orders, coordinating closely with Sales, Logistics, Planning, Production, and Finance.

Expanded Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage the annual Warehouse Plan and operating budget, driving cost optimisation and resource planning.

Oversee finished goods stock management, maintaining strict control over stock accuracy, traceability, and security across all storage sites.

Manage timely and accurate execution of local and export sales orders, working in close coordination with Sales, Logistics, Planning, Production, and Finance teams.

Drive continuous improvement in operational controls, warehouse processes, and facility space utilisation.

Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers, bottling partners, third-party logistics providers, and internal stakeholders.

Establish, implement, and refine warehouse policies and procedures in compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, quality standards, and industry best practices.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing warehouse team through active performance management and training initiatives.

Oversee the receipt, handling, storage, picking, loading, and dispatch of finished goods, including directly loaded orders at third-party bottling facilities.

Qualifications and Experience

Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Operations Management, or Business Administration.

Strong leadership, people management, and conflict resolution skills.

Experience in leading and developing teams

8 to 10 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or logistics operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a management or senior supervisory role.

Sound Knowledge and understanding of warehouse best practices, inventory control and stock management systems

Proven experience managing finished goods inventory in a high-volume, multi-site environment.

Experience in engaging with third party service providers (bottling partners, logistics, freight companies) at a contractual and operational level.

Experience in the wine, beverage, or broader FMCG sector is highly advantageous.

Demonstrated background in local and export order fulfilment, customs compliance, and freight partner coordination.

Proven track record in budget management and cost control.

Valid forklift operator’s license is advantageous.
